The Thanesar Municpal Council (TMC) looks after the operation and maintenance of services like drainage, internal roads, street lighting, storm water drainage, open parks and public convenience.
Apart from this the council works on the planning and construction of services like sewerage, water supply along with the Public Health Engineering Department and the Public Works Department in Thanesar. Being an important part of the district administration, the council remains actively involved in fulfilling its roles towards the welfare of the people.
